As a Senior Enterprise Logging and Monitoring Engineer, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of comprehensive logging and monitoring solutions for complex IT infrastructures. Your role involves leveraging advanced expertise in enterprise level tools, scripting for automation, and applying sound security and industry standard practices for issue detection and incident response. Beyond technical proficiency, you will be required to demonstrated leadership by guiding troubleshooting efforts, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to strategic logging and monitoring initiatives aligned with organizational objectives. Effective, communication, mentoring, and a commitment to staying current with industry advancements are integral to success in this senior-level position.

• Advanced expertise in Enterprise Logging and monitoring toolsets demonstrating in-depth knowledge of platforms like SolarWinds, Dynatrace, Thousand Eyes, Devo, Splunk, App Dynamics, etc.
• Extensive experience in designing and implementing comprehensive monitoring solutions for complex IT infrastructures, including cloud, on-prem, hybrid and SAAS environments.
• Proficiency with coding/scripting in one or more common languages for advanced automation and customization of logging and monitoring workflows. (I.E. Python, YAML, JSON, Perl, HTML5, PowerShell, XML, etc.)
• Proven ability to lead troubleshooting efforts, especially in critical incidents, and provide guidance to junior team members.
• Strategic thinking and ability to contribute to the development of logging and monitoring strategies.
• Continuous learning mindset, staying abreast of industry advancements and emerging technologies in the field of Enterprise Logging and monitoring.
• Understanding of standard ITIL processes like Change Management, Incident/Problem Management, Knowledge Management, and others
• Ability to quickly shift between technology stacks
• Verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team
• Ability to work effectively with all organization levels

Minimum Requirements
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other related technical field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum Experience:
- 5 to 7 years of experience supporting a variety of technologies and functions including virtualization experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Understanding of distributed systems architecture and general knowledge of multiple technical disciplines
- Understanding of software development life cycle and various components that make up the software pipeline
- Scripting skills across multiple languages
- Understanding of Windows server and Linux distros (RedHat preferred)
- Understanding of a variety of network and security protocols
- Knowledge of a variety of technologies and protocols
- Ability to quickly shift between technology stacks
