Senior Electrical Supervisor

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Must be able to interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams, maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, provide assistance and direction to electrical helpers and staff, and coordinate work with other physical plant departments in order to complete assignments in an organized manner.
• Must be able to respond to after-hours emergency calls and special events, and be flexible to perform other duties as required.
• Must stay current with and adhere to all applicable SC state, federal, and local electrical codes and safety regulations relating to electrical installations.
• Experience working in a commercial or institutional environment preferred.
• Experience working with low voltage/control (fire alarm, security, HVAC) systems required.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• A current SC Electrical License is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of field experience as a licensed electrician is required.
• Experience working in a commercial or institutional environment preferred.
• Experience working with low voltage/control (fire alarm, security, HVAC) systems required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Occasionally lift/carry and push/pull up to 100 lbs. 

• Drive a motorized vehicle

• Work around machines

• Work above floor level

• Exposed to dust, fumes, gases

• Exposed to marked changes in temperature

• Work outdoors in varying weather

• Repetitive foot movement to operate foot controls

• Repetitive hand movements (fine grasp, fine manipulation, grasp and pull)

• Frequent head and neck rotations

• Must be capable of wearing a full body harness for working at heights and in confined spaces; and under certain             situations may be required to wear a respirator.
