The Senior Electrical Engineer performs all aspects of building electrical design - lighting, power distribution, communications, and fire alarm - and collaborates with a team of drafters and EITs to develop and deliver quality construction documents through a seamless and efficient design process.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Electrical design tasks and calculations for all aspects of building electrical design per code standards - Research design options and apply engineering judgment to determine viable electrical designs
- Perform own drafting assignments and provide red-marks for EITs to complete
- Provide oversight for design and drafting tasks assigned to EITs
- Establish and maintain electrical fees and budget for assigned projects in collaboration with Electrical Business Unit Leader
- Coordinate project electrical requirements with clients and consultants, both in-house and outside
To qualify for consideration, the Senior Electrical Engineer must possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
- Current registration as an Electrical Professional Engineer in the State of California
- 10+ years of experience as a licensed Electrical P.E. in a design firm
- Proven time management skills including setting goals, prioritizing, estimating hours and completing tasks on time

Compensation:
The expected salary range for this role is $52.00 - $65.00 per hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, business needs, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
