Job Description
The primary responsibility of this role is to support the Environmental & Facilities Operations function. Reporting to the Manager of Operations - Facilities Engineering, the person in this role will support the Environmental & Facilities department's objective to ensure plant infrastructure and utility systems readiness to achieve plant production safely and within Takt time.
What you'll be doing
Supporting daily operations and maintenance for Plant utility and building systems - Power, chilled water, compressed air, HVAC and fire.
Prepare and implement strategies for system training, safety and environmental compliance, KPI tracking, and cost management.
Prepare and implement operational and maintenance improvement strategies.
Provide guidance to PE/TMMAL staff in new projects/ drawing reviews / Arc Flash / CoHE assessments.
Lead all reviews and determination of sourcing strategies for maintenance activities to assure best cost and adequate systems and building maintenance.
Evaluate compliance issues related to Environmental and Safety Regulations and implement appropriate countermeasures for plant utility and building systems.
Support daily KPI reviews to achieve group Hoshin objectives are being met.
Leading problem-solving activities and implementing strategies for long term success.
Prepare Kaizen presentations on Safety, Environmental, Quality, Cost and Productivity.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
Plant facilities and utility systems experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience managing capital projects including budgetary responsibility.
Experience with FMEA analysis for manufacturing infrastructure.
Experience with electrical and mechanical prints including the ability to read, interpret and modify prints.
Experience making KPI improvements with regards to energy management, plant efficiency, safety or similar.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint.
Nice to Have:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
Experience with EasyPower software for prints and drawings.
Professional Engineering License (PE).
Certified Facilities Manager (CFM), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Facilities Management Professional (FMP).
Familiarity with Power Monitoring software such as Power Monitoring Expert (PME) or similar.
Working experience with Microsoft Power BI (including data importation, slicer manipulation, report creation and troubleshooting).
AutoCAD experience including the ability to read, interpret and modify drawings.
Experience with Johnson Metasys building management software.
Experience with IZ Case compressed air management software.
