Job Summary:
This position supports the design and implementation of technical solutions to complex discipline-specific problems; leading or supporting technical programs, projects, or tasks whose technical complexity requires engineering oversight; ensuring completion of programs, projects or tasks within estimated time frames and budget constraints; ensuring that the quality of the program, project or task deliverable meets the established standards or metrics; briefing and leading process teams.
Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed and complex calculations necessary to assess advanced system concepts, assess specifications and perform system integration.
- Support defense analytical requirements with enhanced scientific/engineering research, capability/limitation analysis, reverse engineering analysis/characterizations, facility and vulnerability assessments.
- Analysis and production includes, but is not limited to: complex foreign electronic systems, subsystems, facilities and/or equipment and can emphasize one or more area(s) pertaining to electric power, microelectronics, electronic hardware, circuits, sensors, guidance and control, signals, electromagnetic, electro-optical (EO) / infrared (IR) and / or similar areas associated with current and projected electronic systems and / or subsystems. This includes, but not limited to: Electrical Engineering and sub-disciplines of computer, electronic, optical, and power engineering.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of designated contracts to ensure goals or objectives of contracts are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing duties personally or through subordinates.
- Ensure that the quality of the program, project, or task deliverable meets the established standards or metrics.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and management to Project Managers and Task Order Leads.
Required Experience/Abilities:
- Ability to produce timely, logical, and concise analytic reports, documents, assessments, studies, and briefing materials in formats including Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), electronic / soft copy matrices and / or web-enabled formats.
- Communicate complex issues in a concise and organized manner both verbally and non-verbally, with strong grammar skills.
- Develop structured research including, but not limited to, obtaining, evaluating, organizing, and maintaining information within security and data protocols.
- Recognize nuances and resolve contradictions and inconsistencies in information.
- Comprehensive mission knowledge and skills that affirms completion of all developmental training and experiences for the role.
- Communicate understanding from information that may be incomplete, indirect, highly complex, seemingly unrelated, and / or technically advanced.
- Structure analytic questions based on trends in reporting and a range of analytic perspectives from other analysts, organizations, and intelligence disciplines.
- Work independently with minimal oversight and direction.
- Collaborate and work with other IC members on information sharing, driving collection, and addressing analytic disputes and conflict resolution.
- Develop concise, insightful, and comprehensive products for defense intelligence.
- Guide teams in researching multifaceted or critical problems.
Additional Qualifications:
- Master's degree in an area related to the role from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education OR a B.S. meeting the same criteria, with a total of 17 years of related experience.
Additional Details:
Clearance: This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
Obtaining and maintaining an active U.S. Government Security Clearance requires U.S. Citizenship.
Remote/Telework: Though flexible, this position requires some on-site support and is not 100% remote.
Location: Our office is located in Huntsville, AL.
