Our North American Commercial Operations, as well as our Headquarters and Technology Center for Hemostasis and Acute Care Diagnostics, are based in Bedford, MA. Our Headquarters and Technology Center for Autoimmunity Diagnostics is based in San Diego, CA. Additionally, our Technology Center for Hemostasis and Blood Gas Reagents is in Orangeburg, NY, and our Technology Center for Whole Blood Hemostasis is in San Diego, CA.
Position Summary:
- Develop, execute and maintain short and long term strategic plans
- Develop and implement related policies and procedures
- Communicate and guide functional managers accordingly
- Support company wide initiatives.
- Ensure cost effective measures and budget compliance
- Develop cost saving initiatives to meet or exceed financial performance requirements
- Develop and implement plans for continuous improvement. Actively participate as a member of the Company's Senior Leadership Team
- Identify and correct abstract and difficult department issues. Evaluate and develop methods, techniques, projects, programs and staff
- Mentor functional managers. Lead and motivate staff; promote employee involvement, operational excellence, internal career development, and foster positive organizational culture
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ISO-9000 and related regulations and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Ensure continual regulatory and quality compliance.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus a minimum of ten (10) years previous progressive experience in Supply Chain/materials management, purchasing or equivalent experience within a regulated medical device or pharmaceutical environment preferred; advanced degree or equivalent a plus. APICS or relevant certification preferred.
- Technical proficiency with ERP and MRP systems and Microsoft Office required; must be able to learn new systems quickly.
- Knowledge of GMP QSR, FDA, ISO 9000 strongly preferred. Excellent communication skills and demonstrated negotiation abilities.
- Previous experience working on projects and issues with large impact.
- Knowledge of management methodologies.
- Strong focus on collaboration and team work.
- Logistics and warehouse background strongly preferred.
- Previous management experience required; previous senior management experience preferred
- Experience in, or demonstrated understanding of Operations, business and/or finance strongly preferred
- Superior knowledge of Supply Chain and purchasing principles required; logistics and warehouse background preferred.
- Previous experience working on projects and issues that significantly impact the overall success of an organization strongly preferred.
- Superior communication and presentation skill. Superior planning and organizational skills.
- A demonstrated excellence of problem solving skills.
- Must possess effective decision making skills and analytical ability.
