Position Summary
The Supply Chain Manager ensures the appropriate amount of product is made at the appropriate time and coordinates the storage of the product. This includes organizing the movement of goods from distribution centers to customers, involving forecasting trends and managing inventories.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Operations and Technology teams to source products as needed
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers
- Plan and implement logistical strategy to ensure targets are met
- Work on forecasts and inventories to keep an accurate record of the process while analyzing performance
- Improve the overall Supply Chain performance and look for any possible innovations to the process
- Manage and minimize the operational and reputational risks that could affect or interrupt the Supply Chain
- Consider the environmental impact of the Supply Chain to meet sustainability targets
- Implement proper processes and systems to scale operations
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Strong planning skills
- Ability to solve problems and make decisions, as well as to think strategically and laterally
- Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams
