The Senior Director - North America Risk Engagements has the key directive of partnering with NA Risk Managers and the Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) team to scope, deliver, and implement Risk advisory engagements across Fraud & Authorization, Risk-as-a-Service, and other emerging Risk practice areas. This individual contributor role is a critical thought leader, facilitating the strategic evolution of Visa's Risk advisory capabilities as a function of the voice of the client, evolving threat vectors, and ever-changing ecosystem dynamics. This person will build upon a solid foundation of proven capabilities and expertise to expand the scale, scope, and value of client engagements within the Risk advisory practice. As a senior Risk leader, this individual is ultimately responsible for maintaining trust in the Visa brand, championing security in the industry, and differentiating Visa's Risk capabilities in the eyes of current and prospective clients, including issuers, acquirers, merchants, processors and fin-techs.

A background in consulting or professional services with significant client-facing experience
Deep knowledge of payment card risk, including tangible examples of impactful value delivery for client portfolios.
Must possess significant knowledge of authorizations and fraud controls within the payment card industry, as gained through 10+ years working at a payment network, financial institution, or similar entity
Collaborative team-builder who can establish credibility and trust with executives and key stakeholders across multiple levels of both Visa and the client's organizations
Deliver client engagements on-time and on-budget with clear value propositions and tangible ROI
Specific responsibilities for this role include:
Proactively engage Visa leaders within VCA, Risk, RaiS, and other areas on regular strategic planning discussions. Manage a pipeline of work in collaboration with practice leader and assigned staff
Work closely with NA Risk Managers to derive common pain points, goals, and key relationship factors within our client base
Develop strategy and execute comprehensive risk plans by segment across target clients
Facilitate consulting initiatives and contribute to pipeline growth by identifying potential opportunities
Develop frameworks, approaches, solutions and recommendations that effectively and efficiently address the most impactful opportunities and challenges for Visa's clients
Build new scalable solutions, toolkits, and best practice documents. Prepare reports, presentations, education materials and other written artifacts to present Visa's analysis and guidance.
Partner with peers in other functional areas (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Risk and Identity Solutions, Client Services, DPS, CYBS, and others) to execute projects in ways that leverage the breadth and depth of Visa's resources. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure a true, "One Visa" mindset
Promote & support client adoption of Visa risk products and solutions
Produce insights, analyses and recommendations to improve client performance, boost growth, drive understanding of client issues and provide strategic guidance for client priorities across the product categories and segments
Effectively manipulate and analyze large data sets (industry and Visa) to determine meanings, insights and recommendations for clients
Identify opportunities to enhance the payment ecosystem and advance risk management best practices.
Assess emerging/innovation risks and new business models for potential including identifying gaps in current suite of offerings (e.g. A.I. readiness and authentication threats).
This is a remote position. A remote position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a Visa office location. Remote positions may be required to be present at a Visa office with scheduled notice.
Basic Qualifications:
12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
10-15 years of relevant experience in payment card risk management, managing credit card portfolios and/or experience from a large management consulting firm
Strong understanding of the payment ecosystem - the different players that comprise our client base, the data flows that tough the network, and the impact stability and growth play in the future of payments.
Experience working with financial indicators to measure business performance. Significant focus on impacting ROI
Demonstrated understanding of how Risk contributes to brand and business growth
Strong analytical skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor. Intellectually curious: finds stories in data, asks the right questions, and identifies game changing insights that generate big impacts
Self-motivated, results oriented individual with the ability to handle numerous projects concurrently
Knowledge and understanding of banking operations and/ or payment schemes, including products & services, business systems and processes, marketing initiatives and card acquiring experience

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 148,400 to 204,000 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
