The Senior Director, HR Business Partner to Sales is focused on helping Sales make the number. Like HR Business Partners to other departments, chief concerns are about the attraction, retention, and development of employees. However, for partnering with sales, special skills and activities are necessary as Sales is an organization that makes the first impression on customers of the company.

The Role
The Senior Director, HR Business Partner will work alongside Commercial Sales Leaders to develop effective sales teams. The incumbent must be skilled in the concepts of sales and sales force effectiveness; actively drive and manage initiatives to help Sales improve - usually in the areas of staffing, development, and organizational structure; develop and apply proven and emerging practices in the areas of recruiting, hiring, onboarding, learning and development, and performance management. This position will report to the VP, Human Resources - Transversal.

Responsibilities:
- Execute the 3-5-year Human Resources plan to ensure strategic growth and retention for the Sales organization.
- Participate in periodic Sales strategy sessions to be the voice of HR and to provide advice on how the strategy aligns with Sodexo strategy.
- Help develop effective tactical plans to reach strategic sales goals, including measurable incentive plans.
- Maintain frequent contact with sales teams through participation in weekly sales team meetings.
- Be a strong advisor regarding sales compensation to ensure it is equitable, attractive, and drives the desired results.
- Keep on top of Sales and Industry trends as far as they intersect with HR functions.
- Provide thought leadership and assistance during Sales initiatives that require organization change management.
- Analyze and suggest initiatives based on employee engagement.
- Designs and develops HR processes that encompass workforce planning, talent development, and growth.
- Guide and assist Leaders to ensure viable sales pipeline/benches.
- Builds and promotes partnership with Talent Acquisition to ensure a strong foundation of sourcing both internal and external candidates.
- Acts as an active strategic HR partner for sales processes; particularly blue-chip accounts, as well as new sales, cross-sales and rebids.
- Monitors and oversees the implications of HR policies and practices as it relates to legal repercussions and expense.
- Provides timely, accurate, and complete operational metrics and reporting in consultation with VPs and finance teams. Leads the Human Resource process that measures and evaluates progress against goals for the organization.
- Educates managers and employees on HR policies, plans, programs, practices, processes, and tools.
- Advises and counsels during complex employee relations' interventions (e.g., performance improvement process) and monitors progress.
- Promotes and support diversity initiatives.
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years previous Human Resources Business Partner experience supporting a sales organization and sales compensation plans.
- Strong time-management and organization skills.
- Solid understanding of sales concepts.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple streams of work simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively partner with all levels of leadership.
- Robust interpersonal skills with evidence of teamwork, collaboration, and confidentiality.
- Strong judgment and persuasion skills.
- Superior analytical ability (analyzing and reporting skills).
- Ability to display strong self-initiative and support recommendations with sound thinking and fact-based evidence (data, research, best practices, etc.).
- Proven ability to self-develop and leverage knowledge to become a thought leader.
- High level of knowledge and applicable experience with traditional HR functions such as benefits, payroll, compliance, recruiting, employee relations and learning and development.
