Axon is looking for a Content Strategist rooted in Brand Journalism who understands the art of creative, brand-building stories and how they attract new customers, talent and curious onlookers. We're looking for someone who dives into content planning and fulfillment head first to research, curate and create web and social content that further positions Axon as the leader in public safety technology. We're looking for someone who is curious about our customers and can work with a team of left-and-right-brainers to make it work while making it interesting. Still intrigued?

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 147,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 263,000 in the highest geographic market. The on target earnings range for this role is between USD 350,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 500,000 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors. What You'll Do
Location: Remotely from United States
Reports to: VP, Marketin
- Lead the strategic planning of brand-level content creation for social and web, including brand campaigns, product launches, recruiting initiatives and event announcements
- Be the maestro of communication campaigns, producing content that aligns with our overall Strategy and business objectives
- Tell the stories of our customers and our impact
- Own and manage the corporate blog Strategy and content
- Direct and craft compelling content for social media, blogs, third-party media, infographics, report and web at domestic and global levels
- Know Axon's tone and voice and use it regularly while continually evolving its rules and nuances
- Lead a small but growing team of internal and contract writers to further scale the Axon mission
- Collaborate across multiple team channels including marketing, product, training and sales, infusing brand storytelling with purposeful design, copy and strategy
- Craft the "big picture" and join forces with the right people to keep the vision on track
What You Bring
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience in Communications, Journalism, Advertising, or related field
- 10+ years of related work experience in professional content writing
- Demonstrated history of brand-level Content Strategy, programs and campaigns
- Extraordinary written and verbal communication skills, including editing and proofreading
- A powerhouse for creative and strategic thinking with the ability to connect smaller elements into a cohesive campaign
- A bloodhound for scouting and utilizing new content creation (SEO and Tik-Tok-esque) trends and techniques
- Cool as a cucumber when presenting to C-suite leadership and internal teams
- A natural curiosity for our customers and mission
- The ability to think calmly and react with professional instincts while under pressure
