Plummer Youth Promise is seeking a relationship builder to serve as their new Senior Development Manager. The mission of this new role is to grow our major donor pipeline, move donors to increasing levels of giving, and to ensure every donor understands the impact their gift makes. Reporting to the Director of Development and Communications, the Senior Manager will manage a portfolio of major donors for annual and capital campaign giving.
The Senior Manager is responsible for the development and successful execution of engagement plans for some of our most important audiences. They will work closely with the communications team to fully leverage our activities and events. The Senior Manager is a natural relationship builder, goal-oriented, and believer in the power of philanthropy.
This is an ideal role for someone who moves with ease across a diverse group of constituents and thrives on sharing a story. The organization is in the middle of a capital campaign with aggressive plans to grow fundraising, communications, and community presence over the next three to five years. This will present the opportunity to develop additional skills and grow into new responsibilities and roles.
WHAT YOULL DO
Develop relationships with current and prospective donors. Represent Plummer Youth Promise at community events and forums while actively seeking new and stewarding current individuals and families who align with Plummers values and mission.
DONOR ENGAGEMENT
- Achieve personal annual revenue goal and assist the team in achieving its goals
- Grow the portfolio of major donors through meaningful cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship
- Prepare donor research and briefings for donor meetings, proposals and stewardship
- Leverage the senior team and board to achieve goals
- Oversee small donor events
SUPPORT THE TEAM
- Assist in the development and execution of year-round fundraising plan and budget to meet revenue goals
- Support volunteer fundraising committees in achieving their goals meeting content, prospect research, donor strategy, etc.
- Maintain accurate and timely records and achieve monthly targets on donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities and results

- Valid Massachusetts Drivers license and reliable transportation, local travel required
- This is a hybrid role three days in the Salem office, two remote
- Hours are typically, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm with occasional modifications to accommodate evening and weekend events
