POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Designer plays a key role in shaping the creative vision for our collections, overseeing all aspects of design, including seasonal design concepts, color palettes, prints, fabric, and product direction. The Senior Designer manages multiple seasons, ensuring adherence to corporate timelines. In addition to strong design skills, the ideal candidate fosters team diversity, leading by example, and mentoring to empower our design and CAD team. The ideal candidate should possess a creative eye for products that drive business growth.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Takes leadership in guiding and driving the overall creative vision for collections.
• Leads in development of the quarterly design concepts, color palette, print, and fabric direction.
• Leads CAD Designers in the development of intricate prints, embroideries, and embellishments, overseeing the review of strike-offs and mock-ups to ensure flawless execution.
• Manages multiple seasons at various stages of development, while maintaining an understanding of the corporate development calendar and ensuring that CFT adheres to deadlines.
• Values team diversity and individuality, leading by example, mentoring, and empowering the team to excel through clear communication, guidance, and feedback.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field
• Minimum 7 years of Design experience with strong product development experience across different product categories in women’s wear
• Strong understanding of the brand and taste level
• Comprehensive understanding of the customer and competitive space
• Experience leading, developing, managing, and inspiring robust Design and CAD teams with demonstrated success.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively influence and collaborate with partners in cross-functional team.
• Ability to respond to business objectives with creative, innovative, and cost-effective design solutions.
• Ability to sketch or to communicate design ideas via computer programs.
• Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Keynote, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and PLM.
• Demonstrates strong efficiency in time management and adaptability.
