We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Design Director. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Provide trend direction to the design team and licensed product categories
• Lead trend meetings each season for design group
• Create inspiration boards and trend overviews for each season
• Create seasonal color palettes
• Consistently shop marketplace, our competitive set and for inspiration and product opportunities
• Plan the line according to style plans, sales needs and emerging trends
• Manage, monitor and ensure team adherence to time and action calendar
• Select fabrics, yarns, finishes and styling details for all apparel categories
• Partner with sales and production to ensure product is being designed within cost parameters
• Oversee the development of all artwork related to product packaging and marketing- work with suppliers on execution to make sure the elements fall within our cost targets
• Manage all overseas communication with sample facilities for sample execution
• Attend all comparison fittings, first proto fittings and production fittings- give concise feedback to technical design on how to adjust garments; ensure production fits are to our specifications
• Merchandise and style showroom for all appointments with accounts
• Present line to account representatives and senior management
• Collaborate with marketing and sales on marketing and advertising ideas
• Interface with licensees as needed as the brand ambassador
• Build strong cross-functional relationships with sales, production, tech, fabric R&D and marketing
