OBJECTIVE:
The Senior Database Administrator is responsible for designing, managing and administering IT database
systems and solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Determines and implements optimal database architecture and database solutions that are high
quality, scalable, and high performance to meet organizational requirements and objectives..
2. Monitors and maintains database systems including performance, backups, capacity, and
security.
3. Responds to support requests affecting database systems.
4. Understands business requirements and suggests solutions in a wide range of database services
(on-premises and cloud).
5. Interacts with managers, system architects, developers, infrastructure engineers and other team
members involved in project planning, development, and testing.
6. Educates and ensures the development teams follow best practices and standards to design
their applications for optimal use of both relational and No SQL datasets.
7. Architects and implements data governance and security for managed database platforms.
8. Collaborates on the creation and evaluation of the technology road map and uses repeatable
practices to ensure data availability, integrity, and security.
9. Understands and adheres to legal/compliance standards included in corporate policies and
accepts ownership for accomplishing existing tasks that fulfill legal/compliance requirements.
Reports compliance violations when identified.

REQUIRED DEGREE: Bachelor degree from an accredited 4 year org/university
CERTIFICATIONS: N/A
EXPERIENCE: 3 to 5 years of exp
