Meet the Team:
Join our growing Cyber Security team under our new CISO leadership. This team is responsible for developing a strategic security and risk management program, implementing security policies and procedures, and managing security technologies. As Torc continues to pave the way for the commercialization of autonomous trucking, this team will be instrumental in ensuring the security and trustworthiness of our systems.
The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, GRC serves as lead for Cybersecurity Governance, Risk, and Compliance with responsibility for a breadth of critical enterprise cybersecurity functions. Play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's cybersecurity policies and procedures. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and compliance standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the protection of sensitive information and the resilience of our digital assets.
What you'll do :
  • Develop a policy roadmap and related comprehensive cybersecurity policies and procedures to address emerging threats and industry best practices.
  • Ensure effective communication and understanding of cybersecurity policies across all levels of the organization.
  • Stay abreast of cybersecurity laws, regulations, and compliance requirements to ensure the organization's policies align with industry standards.
  • Lead efforts to maintain compliance with relevant cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR).
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and collaborate with other teams to identify, assess, and prioritize cybersecurity risks.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Develop and implement a program to assess and manage the cybersecurity posture of third-party vendors, ensuring they meet security standards and comply with contractual obligations.
  • Develop and deliver cybersecurity training programs to educate employees on best practices and ensure a culture of security awareness.
  • Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity trends and threats, sharing relevant information with the organization.
  • Work closely with IT, legal, and other relevant departments to integrate cybersecurity policies into the overall business strategy.
  • Provide leadership and guidance on cybersecurity matters to foster a culture of security within the organization.

What you'll need to Succeed:
  • Demonstrates competencies and skills typically achieved through the completion of a bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity policy development and implementation
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with relevant compliance requirements and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to build trust and strong working relationships, effectively create and proofread documents and reports, and communicate to a diverse workforce.
  • Keen attention to detail to identify problems and processes that don't comply with protocol.
  • Critical/logical thinking to identify problems and provide solutions to ensure cybersecurity solutions are move us towards an efficient, cybersecure self-driving truck
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to plan, develop, coordinate resources, prioritize effectively, and maintain competing demands simultaneously with frequent interruptions and in a fast-paced environment.

Hiring Range for Job Opening
US Pay Range
$145,900 - $175,100 USD
