THE ROLE
This is a remote position where we prefer you be based in the states of WA, MT, TX or NM.
The Senior Corporate and Foundation Relations Officer will drive efforts to secure six and seven-figure gifts from large regional and national funders. The Senior Corporate and Foundation Relations Officer collaborates with the Director, Corporate and Foundation Relations in developing and writing large-scale proposals above $100,000 to private foundations and corporate entities. This role will be accountable for achieving a $1.5-$2M + individual fundraising goal. This employee will build relations with high-net-worth organizational donors on a national scale. The Senior Corporate and Foundation Relations Officer will also drive relations with executive and program leaders and develop a strategic fundraising framework for these leaders/teams. In this entrepreneurial role, this employee will need to build from the ground up relations with new national donors and internal programs unfamiliar with fundraising work.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Manage engagement with a portfolio of active and prospective private foundations, corporate funders with six and seven-figure gift potential. In collaboration with medical, program, and executive leaders, engagement will include phone/video conversations, in-person visits, and written communications, including letters of inquiry, proposals (above $100k) and informal updates.
- Develop strong and productive working relationships with medical, program, and executive leaders; drive creation of grant-seeking strategies across thematic fundraising areas.
- Educate team and organizational leaders on current trends in philanthropy, grant-making, and healthcare associated fundraising.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education or work experience
- 5 years of demonstrated experience and success in program development and grant writing.
- 3 years of experience in building partnerships with foundation and corporate funders.
- 3 years of experience in communication with diverse care constituencies including physicians, administrators, other health care professionals (preferred)

- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

- Excellent organizational skills, focus on details, and multi-tasking ability, even in a fast-paced and often high-pressure environment. Ability to prioritize workloads.
- Ability to quickly understand and align with department and organization priorities and practices to support strategic priorities and goals.
- Demonstrated independence, requiring minimal supervision to accomplish assigned task or projects and manage time effectively.
- Is reflective and instills trust through openness, respect and honesty with others at all times. Demonstrates consistent self-awareness and emotional intelligence, and stress management.
- Handles conflict effectively at all times.
- Knowledge of philanthropic trends and regional/national philanthropic community funding processes
- Ability to grasp complicated technical and healthcare subjects, synthesize complex or diverse information; collect and research data, design workflow and procedures and apply these abilities to technical and proposal writing.
