Our Finance team plays an integral role in making our airline profitable and successful by meeting our financial goals.Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure employees are paid accurately and timely.
- Review, analyze, and input payroll exceptions to ensure accuracy.
- Run eTA and clear all error reports prior to payroll close.
- Compliance with all internal and external audit requirements.
- Compliance with multiple workgroups guidelines, applicable union contracts and company policies.
- Accurate and timely auditing and review of all applicable payroll processing reports for each pay cycle schedule.
- Compliance with all payroll schedules, payroll close process and changes
- Identify information and interpret data to be entered from pay documents requiring a basic understanding of entry procedures, computer requirements, and the application of necessary codes
- Review electronic exceptions to ensure all are processed correctly and on time
- Monitor IVR sick calls and ensure accurate inputs
- Plan, develop timelines, address issues and solve problems
- Provide excellent customer service to employees and other contacts
- Work closely with all levels of contacts in reviewing, compiling and processing payroll data
- Respond to telephone and written inquiries from employees, management, union representatives and third party pay recipients in order to resolve issues and answer questions related to pay
- Respond to inquirers regarding lost or stolen payroll checks, including stop payments and other related employee issues
- Set up and maintain personnel data, schedules, and clock assignments for hourly employees into a payroll system
- Processes final pay requests for retirements and separations for hourly employees
- Daily communication with base locations to resolve problems and/or issues
- Salary range for this position is $43,945 - $56,870
- This position is 100% on-site at LAX airport
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years payroll experience
- Ability to apply wage and time off work rules as outlined in Collective Bargaining Agreements
- Strong attention to detail
- Customer service and oral/written communication skills
- Sufficient knowledge of payroll systems to answer general questions
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
