We are looking for a business development person who enjoys building relationships with referrers and families in their community. We need someone with outside business development experience, primarily in Contra Costa & Alameda Counties.

Must-Have Qualities:

To be successful in this role, you must have a proven sales record, be confident, competitive, and results-oriented. It would be best if you were also a persuasive influencer who can use your relationship skills and depth of compassion to obtain buy-in, cooperation, and referrals. We are looking for someone who is mission-driven and willing to work the hours necessary to live out their purpose of changing people's lives and making Senior Care better.

You should demonstrate effective interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and good decision-making. You must present a professional appearance and demeanor and have excellent oral and written communication skills along with the ability to listen effectively. You should be compassionate, discreet, and have integrity and fair-mindedness consistent with company standards, practices, policies, and procedures.

What you will do:

As a sales leader, you will research and develop client relationships and produce referrals. You will determine referral sources and client needs, recommend appropriate services and additional community resources, and maintain and nurture existing referral accounts. You will achieve inquiry generation objectives for assigned service locations, with the primary goal of bringing in new business to increase overall market share.

Your target accounts will include hospitals, physicians, home health agencies, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing homes, senior centers, hospices, and other senior-related referral sources. You will effectively present our marketing materials and services to referral providers in various forums, including one-to-one meetings, planning, arranging, and conducting in-services, and formal group presentations to referral providers.

You will maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities, including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within the assigned service area, including the use of software to maximize service area potential. You will conduct service inquiries and consultations as needed following the sales and work with discharge planners, social workers, and families in offering in-home care and referral placement services.

You will cultivate long-term relationships with community and referral sources and facilitate educational in-services with your referral sources to spotlight and grow multiple product categories. You will also present follow-up and patient reporting to existing referral sources.
