Job Summary
The Senior Coordinator, Maintenance Planner Scheduler is a key member of the Manufacturing Operations team, and is responsible for the planning and scheduling of plant maintenance activities, as well as inventory management and tracking for the Manufacturing and Maintenance areas. This Senior Coordinator also assists the Maintenance Department in providing the necessary resources and record keeping that is required to increase plant maintenance reliability work preparations, improve work efficiencies, increase plant performance and ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies. Preparation of reports, metrics, and other tracking tools for departmental tracking.
Responsibilities and Learning Opportunities
- Responsible for maintaining the purchasing lifecycle for engineering procurement items – obtaining quotes, purchase requisition entry, PO distribution to vendors, and order confirmations.
- Responsible for maintaining requested inventory levels of Maintenance spare parts.
- Assist Maintenance Manager in establishing, organizing and monitoring of maintenance team training via Veeva© Adare’s training and document management software by serving as department training coordinator.
- Responsible for compiling, organizing and prepare reports on department quarterly meeting performance data.
- Provide logistical support for Engineering and Maintenance projects and tasks as assigned, coordinating as needed within and outside of the department.
- Uses the department’s inventory management software to develop a daily work schedule to secure adequate resources to complete preventative, predictive, and planned maintenance. This includes maintenance and operations staff, materials, documents, work orders, change orders, and necessary approvals to perform work as planned.
- Maintain all plant equipment records in the inventory management system, and that all maintenance work including planned and unplanned work is scheduled through MP2. This includes follow-up to ensure all labor hours, materials, and necessary notes or procedural changes associated with the work are accurately recorded, and work is closed in a timely manner.
- Communicates directly with Purchasing and Inventory Agent regarding parts required and inventory levels needed to complete all scheduled Work Orders and PM Orders.
- Prepare and maintain a weekly maintenance schedule based on Compliance requirements or emergency repairs.
- Responsible for notifying supervisor of any problems or issues with inventory, planning and scheduling.
- Provide preventative maintenance support for work orders – entry, closing, and filing.
- Support and promote safety programs.
Requirements
- H.S. diploma or equivalent and 5+ years’ experience in a coordinator role
- Experience working in a GMP environment; life sciences, food, nutraceutical, or cosmetics
- Purchase order creation and inventory management experience
- Ability to interface with R&D personnel, manufacturing, maintenance, logistics, quality assurance, outside vendors, and customers. Ability to communicate effectively, showing consideration and concern, with all levels of the organization ranging from “Operator” to “General Manager”.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
