Activity Coordinator: As a Senior Living Activity Coordinator, you play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life for residents in senior living communities by organizing and facilitating a variety of engaging and enriching activities and outings. You are responsible for creating a vibrant and stimulating environment that promotes social interaction, physical well-being, and mental stimulation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Activity Planning
- Develop an engaging calendar of activities catering to the interests and abilities of our senior residents.
- Plan and organize recreational, social, cultural, and educational events and outings.
- Plan and execute holiday celebrations and themed parties.
- Coordinate daily happy hours
2. Transportation
- Will transport residents to scheduled outings, appointments and to Bayley main campus.
3. Resident Engagement
- Encourage resident participation in activities, fostering a sense of community and social connection.
- Assess individual preferences and needs to tailor activities to residents' interests.
4. Program Implementation
- Coordinate and lead group activities, exercise classes, hobby groups, and outings.
- Encourage resident-led activities such as Book club, Poker, Gin, Bridge groups, etc.
- Collaborate with staff to integrate spiritual and wellness programs into the activity schedule.
5. Communication
- Effectively communicate activity schedules, updates, and announcements to residents, families, and staff.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as concierge, dining services and maintenance to ensure seamless coordination of activities.
- Work closely with volunteers and community resources to enhance activity offerings.
- Seek feedback from residents and incorporate suggestions to continually improve activity offerings
Requirements:Required
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid Ohio Driver's License
