Senior Compliance Analyst

Work location: 612 East Lamar Blvd, Arlington, TX 76011 - Remote. In office two to four times a month with quarterly group meetings.
Work hours: Full Time, 40 hours/week, Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Here's What You Need
Education
- Bachelor's Degree Healthcare related discipline, Business, or Management Information Systems is required.
Experience
- 5 Years Hospital management, healthcare compliance program, compliance training, and/or investigations is required.
Licenses and Certifications
- CHC - Certified in Healthcare Compliance Upon Hire is preferred.
What You Will Do
ORGANIZATION AND OVERSIGHT :
- Serve as facilitator and resource to Texas Health Entity Compliance Committees, The Texas Health System Compliance Council, Operations Performance Improvement Councils, and other Functional area Compliance Workgroups, as needed.
- Participate in operation of the THR Compliance Hotline including policies, procedures and protocols; data analysis; development of reports; etc. including taking calls and performing follow-ups, as appropriate
- Maintain the THR System Compliance Website.
- Work with THR Human Resources for compliance functions and activities that require interface with HR functions and activities.
- Organize and oversee annual compliance training for employees, vendors, volunteers, Board members and select others.
- Serve as a key contact for THR's MyTalent/SuccessFactors system and provide guidance for new learning management system.
- Serve as the key contact for compliance work plan with the THR Research and IRB staff.
- Deploy a clinical research risk assessment, analyzed data which lead to the development of an annual research work plan.
- Oversee annual System Compliance policy reviews.
- Coordinate the development of a fully electronic Code of Business Ethics.
- Oversee compliance program elements integration for new facilities.
COMMUNICATION and TRAINING:
- Serve as liaison/coordinator with HR, Learning Services ECOs to determine training/education facilitate employee awareness/understanding of the Compliance Program and its initiatives.
- Develop/implement compliance-related training material. Serve as instructor/facilitator.
- Research laws, regulations and guidelines. Distribute updates to Functional areas.
- Develop and implement communication vehicles such as newsletter articles, brochure and other communication materials about compliance topics and initiatives.
- Communicate the importance of the THR Compliance Program and governance responsibilities to entity Board of Trustees, and entity management.
- Present information and reports of compliance activities to various levels of THR management.
- Maintain sufficient knowledge of the THR Code of Business Ethics to answer questions/provide guidance.
- Serve as liaison with MyTalent/SuccessFactors personnel for training.
- Respond to all training questions coming through the system compliance email box.
- Oversee implementation of compliance training and program elements for new facilities
- Develop standard brochures, posters, etc for system use.
POLICIES, PROCEDURES AND STANDARDS:
- Develop for approval and publication System Compliance Program policies and procedures.
- Develop, publish and distribute Department policies and procedures to support System Compliance Program policies.
- Review, propose changes and new section and participate in Code of Business Ethics updates.
- Perform research when needed in connection with regulations and requirements. Assist others in understanding these standards and requirements
- Review and propose changes to other system policies as necessary.
MONITORING, AUDITING AND ENFORCEMENT
- Develop mechanisms, surveys and other tools to validate that THR System Compliance Program policies and procedures are being carried out.
- Oversee/participate in investigations of reported violations of THR policies and standards. Coordinate investigations with Legal counsel, as appropriate.
- Monitor and follow-up on corrective actions taken or planned.
- Assist in handling governmental inquiries regarding compliance matters, as needed.
- Assist in development of compliance scorecard elements and monitoring.
- Assist in the development of training completion monitoring reports as needed.
- Audit/review clinical research trial documents as necessary
- Develop clinical research scorecard.
- Perform a clinical research risk assessment.
