Senior Competitive Intelligence Specialist & Facilitator (Remote)

ICF is seeking a Senior Competitive Intelligence Specialist & Facilitator for our Competitive Intelligence team within the Corporate Growth Group. We are looking for a talented researcher who would like to apply their research and facilitation skills to improve ICF’s competitive stance. You will facilitate Black Hat Competitive Intelligence exercises as part of ICF’s business development process. Interest in making competitive analysis actionable, using innovative techniques, and continuing to evolve to improve the quality and impact are key considerations. You will be part of a team focused on driving ICF growth by providing actionable information on our competition to inform our growth strategy, our proposed solutions, and client interactions to increase our overall win probability across the public, commercial and utility sectors related to ICF strategic markets and clients.
Whilst this is a remote position, occasional travel to an ICF office may arise.
What You Will Do:
  • Support the Competitive Intelligence team’s activities, including analyzing and synthesizing research conducted throughout the capture process.
  • Facilitate competitor strategy sessions, such as Black Hats
  • Work closely with capture teams to lead activities in the CI workstream, including developing opportunity specific competitive landscapes and developing competitor research relevant to the evaluation criteria.
  • Work independently to develop and present work products, including competitive profiles, market briefings and research findings to the senior leadership.
  • Take on specific ad-hoc research, capture or Corporate Growth strategic initiative projects as requested.
  • Additional responsibilities may include assisting in planning, resourcing, and developing tools and resources to provide access to Competitive Intelligence across ICF.
What You Will Bring With You:
  • 5+ years of experience in business or market research, competitive analysis, capture strategy or business development, in the public sector, commercial or utilities markets
  • Extensive experience facilitating Black Hat and other related sessions with all levels of the business, including leadership teams.
  • Understanding and experience with the capture process.
  • Experience analyzing complex information from multiple sources and making sound observations and recommendations
  • Experience with a wide range of data sources and Federal and State/Local industry tools, such as USAspending, GovWin, Bloomberg Government, and DACIS.
  • Experience in Microsoft 365 tools including Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Excel.

  • Experience with innovative tools and resources for delivering research and information.
  • Commercial and utility experience.
  • Ability to utilize collaborative tools such as Mural.
  • Experience with PowerBI.

  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility in taking on a wide range of tasks against challenging deadlines.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is:
$76,848.00 - $130,642.00 Nationwide Remote Office (US99)
