Senior Commercial Countertop Estimator

Midwest Stone Company is one of the largest countertop companies in Minnesota. We have a great company culture and opportunity for growth and development. We are currently looking to fill the below position of a Senior Commercial Countertop Estimator.

Countertop Estimator

The successful candidate will be responsible for takeoffs, quantities, determining waste factors, bids and proposals, change orders, etc… They must be able to resolve cost discrepancies and analyze information. We ideally would like someone who can “Hit the Ground Running”.

Multi-Family/Commercial Countertop Estimator whose primary responsibilities will be performing on screen take offs based on Architectural, and/or Interior design plans.

• Granite, Quartz, and all other Natural Stone Countertops.
• Responding to estimating / sales inquiries and concerns by phone & email.
• Understanding product lines, warranties, and installation guidelines.
• Understanding job specific material quantities, labor rates, and logistics rates.
• Working with our sales team & project managers to develop and cultivate relationships with owner/developers, general contractors, retail customers, architects, and designers.
• Working with suppliers daily for pricing & product info (on a per project basis).

The successful candidate will have strong communication, analytical and organizational skills. The candidate should be willing to continually learn and develop their skills as products and the market are always evolving. The following experience is preferred:

• A minimum of 2 years of Multi-family countertop estimating.
• The ability to read blueprints.
• The ability to read specifications, finish schedules, and a unit matrixes.
• Experienced in multi-family estimation.
• The ability to manage multiple projects.
• AutoCAD, Adobe, & Microsoft Office efficiency.
• Represent the Company with integrity and pride.
• Exhibit ownership of daily responsibilities
• Take responsibility for any errors and work with management on how to correct this in the future
• Enable, encourage, and participate in constructive communication between all departments.
• Strive to meet or exceed customer expectations at all times.
• High attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience working with high performance teams.
• Problem analysis and problem resolution skills.

Employment Type: Full-Time (40-50 hours per week)

Compensation: 60,000.00 - 100,000.00, with opportunity for growth
