Summary
Drafts detailed mechanical and structural parts for CNC burning machines and such other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Confirm job requirements by reviewing customer-supplied information.
Maintain follow-up communication with sales.
Support the shop with any special needs.
Generate machine-ready “best practice” NC programs from both electronic part files and parts drafted using customer-supplied drawings.
Generate shop-ready documentation packages.
Generate flat pattern-proof drawings.
Qualifications

Education/Experience
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year College or technical school, 4 plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business technical procedures.
Ability to write business correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from a group of managers, and customers.
Math Ability
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Knowledge of Steel specifications is not needed however a plus.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
CNC programmer qualifications:
General drafting Skills
Nesting software experience required, SigmaNEST a plus
Basic understanding of M&G codes for CNC machines
AutoCAD is a plus but not required
