We believe that inclusion helps us thrive and grow at United across our collaborative Finance teams consisting of Financial Planning & Analysis, Internal Audit, Treasury, Global Procurement, Controllership, Investor Relations and more. These teams provide the financial fuel that keeps our operation running from providing detailed analyses of financial planning, performance, and forecasts to managing our investments and financial strategies. Our Finance team plays an integral role in making our airline profitable and successful by meeting our financial goals.Key Responsibilities:The primary responsibility for this position is the direct sourcing of airframe and/or engine parts that the Technical Operations team has identified and requires for its spare parts inventory.  Participates in the development of sourcing strategies and negotiation of supply agreements. Works directly with key supply chain personnel, and sources parts and material from external suppliers who supply such parts.

• Responsible for sourcing airframe and/or engine parts for both domestic and international requirements
• Executes purchase orders and ensures all purchases made in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Participates in developing purchasing and sourcing strategies that reduce United's costs
• Compliance with all financial controls, including SOX compliance
• Updates price models based on established indices and confirming accuracy of price data
• The salary range for this role is $64,500 - $75,240

• College degree or equivalent work experience is preferred
• A minimum of three years of experience in a purchasing role or equivalent
• High quality of work, productivity / volume of work, and computer proficiency skills required
• Strong communication and project management skills
• Excellent analytical skills
• Knowledgeable of sourcing processes
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
