Senior Buyer

SENIOR BUYER

JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Buyer is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Buying Team. This position will also be responsible for purchasing stocking items, non-stocking items, and raw materials. The Senior Buyer will play a key role in communicating order information within the organization and entering and sending orders to vendors.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Delivery timing as established during the sourcing process and program requirements.
• Preparing and processing requisitions and purchase orders for the procurement of goods, services and supplies.
• Provide support to the Purchasing Director and the team.
• Process all purchase orders, including entering into the procurement system for all assigned categories.
• Match orders with vendors: Confirm cost, ship dates, addresses etc.
• Answer vendor inquiries.
• Follow up with vendors.
• Create and maintain item records in retail point of sale system for all assigned categories.
• Maintain purchase order tracking sheets.
• Complete daily activities in purchasing.
• All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or another related field.
• 3-5 years' experience working in a Purchasing role.

TRAVEL:

• Travel Required: Yes, 30% minimum.
• Launch Support: The Senior Buyer will be required to be on site during program launch activity at any/all plants, as required.

• Excellent data entry skills.
• Microsoft Word and Excel skills preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
