Healthy Contributions, Company Description
Since 2005, we have been providing health and fitness clubs across the nation with reliable and easy-to-use management solutions. Our integrated package of online services allows our clients to focus on their clubs and members, rather than their back-office needs. Funds can be allocated to members directly, to the appropriate fitness institution, or to the health plan sponsor. These can be distributed with a check or deposited directly with an ACH credit.
NOTE: This position is a 6 month, Full time, temporary position, with the possibility of moving into a permanent position.
Senior Business Development Manager (Woodbury, MN or Remote)
Healthy Contributions is launching a new services platform to support employers that want to provide a fitness benefit to their employees by providing seamless billing and service support. Business Development Manager (BDM) will work directly with companies as well as work closely with Anytime Fitness Franchises to provide company funded fitness memberships through the Group Membership Service (GMS) and Discount Membership platforms in a defined territory/market. As this new market is developed a hybrid Senior BDM role is needed to manage the growing BDC role as well as be responsible for helping to grow sales. In this role the Senior BDM will work inbound leads as well as prospect for new opportunities in targeted markets. Qualifying prospects and opportunities, building a sales pipeline to support revenue goals. The Senior BDM will follow-up on inquiries from inbound requests, phone calls, trade shows, and web events. The Senior BDM will conduct discovery meetings with the potential partner and will create and deliver GMS proposals and move them through the sales process to close. In addition to these Business Development and sales activities, the Senior BDM will be actively involved in managing the sales activities of other BDM's.
Purpose/Impact: (Duties & Essential Functions)
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a dynamic "startup" environment and have experience successfully managing other Business Development / sales personnel. They will have the confidence and ability to introduce and represent an established company with little name recognition in this market. A Healthy Contributions BDM is a self-starting, results-oriented individual.

  • Sales management of Business Development team for Health Contributions.
  • Prospect new clients within assigned territory, leveraging Healthy Contributions marketing/prospecting activities as well as your own pro-active prospecting efforts.
  • Collaborate with AF Franchisees to boost revenue through HC managed GMS plans and create trust in Franchisee community
  • Work with Franchisees to articulate a next generation approach to leading the business partners transition to Health Contributions health and wellness support platform.
  • Fearlessness to challenge customer perspectives or bias towards discount membership programs to a GMS platform with a consultative approach
  • Provide feedback on customer requirements and needs to align Healthy Contributions products and services to meet these needs and solve problems and/or provide additional value to the organization.
  • Identify and assist in managing prospect's evaluation and decision making process. Stay abreast of competitive landscape and emerging technologies to best position Healthy Contributions in the marketplace.

Strengths and Background:
  • 3 - 5 years of health and wellness, solution-oriented sales experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or related years of experience in the field
  • Experience successfully managing sales teams with successful sales results
  • Demonstrated track record of exceeding assigned sales targets and meeting or exceeding lead and conversion goals
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and customer retention through consistent, productive account calls
  • Be responsible for up selling programs, services, and value-added products into current customer base
  • Develop/qualify inbound leads within specified new potential customer segment in your assigned region.
  • Learn and execute proven processes to generate new sales opportunities by focusing on qualifying marketing generated demand leads and utilizing outbound tactics to generate sales demand with targeted accounts
  • Qualify new business primarily through inbound emails, leads and calls from potential customers, developing high level conversations with senior executives to target broader sales opportunities and generate sales growth
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects that have not purchased from the company in the past and are identified as new customer acquisitions.
  • Represent the company by consistently demonstrating the understanding and modeling of company's mission and values
  • Stay abreast of and learns about all new technical applications, products, programs, and services available to customers in the territory and for applying or utilizing them whenever appropriate or timely
  • Align the overall corporate solution to the customer's business needs, challenges, and technical requirements
  • Increase pipeline through demand generation and targeted campaigns to the install base accounts
  • Collaborate with the HC client services team on sales strategy
