- Coordinates project assignments with those of other engineers and technicians in his/her discipline group.
May be required to do some or all of the following:
- Performs engineering design calculations, sketches, technical comparisons and similar technical work as required by assignment.
- Conducts research to develop new and improved chemical manufacturing processes.
- Assists design and plans layout for chemical processes on a commercial scale.
- Investigates most effective arrangement of operations, such as mixing, crushing, heat transfer distillation, oxidation, hydrogenation, and polymerization.
- Implements processing methods and controls to meet quality standards in the most cost-efficient manner.
- Reviews engineering drawings and recommends necessary changes.
- Researches code issues and works with City, State, and County officials.
- Generates construction P & IDs.
- Researches design options and documents findings for Project Engineers and/or Engineering Managers.
- Surveys construction areas to plan equipment and piping layout.
- Assists with other duties assigned by Project Engineers and/or Engineering Managers.
Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their manager, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.
