Job Summary


This position is located at Central Office in St. Paul. This position will have the flexibility to telecommute, work a hybrid schedule, or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to complete a telework agreement. The incumbent will be expected to work in the office once a month for team building and on occasion as needed.

The purpose of this position is to serve as a lead expert in the design, making, development, testing, demonstration and deployment of MnDOT Business Integration-Workflows. This position helps guide the work of less experienced staff to design and make customized applications, automated workflows and reporting tools and dashboards using current tools and best practices, and troubleshoot Business Integration-workflow, providing services to share knowledge and current best practices with employees on the use of software and hardware tools. He/she will help execute the Business Integration Section (BIS) Business Integration-workflow vision, strategies and roadmaps to recommend solutions, in accordance with federal and state laws and department policies. He/she will guide the team in the various tools and reports used to support, analyze and troubleshoot process workflow and business process management (re-engineering initiatives).

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Two years of advanced professional experience in the following areas:

  • Experience developing solutions including conceptual design, data modeling, and testing, using document management and automated workflow tools such as eDOCS, Power Apps, SharePoint, Dataverse, and Power Automate (including connectors).
  • Experience mentoring other citizen developers on Power Automate and Power Apps.
  • Experience integrating citizen developed solutions with other systems, data sources, and third-party applications; and designing, developing and deploying connectors to be used with customized applications and flows.
  • Experience using data analysis methods and tools such as SQL, Power BI, Python, Toad and JSON.
  • Experience communicating with customers in a proactive manner on projects.
  • Experience managing project scope and using formalized change management tools and techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using Agile methodology.
