Here's the scoop - Summary
The Senior Business Analyst, Sales and Trade Analytics is a critical company role supporting the Analytics Team to capture and organize relevant data into actionable insights using a variety of data sources, distilling them into impactful reporting, leveraging powerful data visualization tools. They will help develop story-driven insights and in-depth analyses to influence strategic business decisions internally as well as externally with our valued customers. On occasion, the role comes with direct exposure to senior leadership and strategic customers to help present and support the implementation of growth plans.
This position reports to the Manager of Sales and Trade Analytics. This position is available to work remotely in the US.
What a typical day looks like:

• Work across multiple data sources (Nielsen or IRI Scanning data proficiency required)
• Create dashboards and key reports (PowerBI or other data visualization platform experience a plus)
• Distill primary and secondary research down to easy-to-digest insights
• Prepare monthly reports and/or manage special projects, as directed or assigned.
• Develop and maintain successful professional working relationships with relevant internal corporate departments and external distributor/customer partners, including supporting / attending joint business planning meetings
• Develop, enhance and optimize business analytics to deliver critical insights and fuel growth agendas
• Engage in internal analyses, research, product analyses, pricing and assortment strategies
• Collaborate with analytics colleagues to enhance analytic processes and insights
• Train cross functional teammates on analytics initiatives
• Proactively anticipate business and insights needs
• Maintain competitive knowledge to help inform sales strategies
• Perform other tasks as required or assigned.

What are we looking for?

• Post-secondary education in Business or related field (Bachelor's degree or equivalent)
• 5+ years related insights and/or analytics experience, preferably within a consumer-packaged goods environment.
• Data/Insights mining expert with syndicated tools (Nielsen/IRI scanning data essential; household panel a plus)
• Experienced in creating and building tools and analysis processes.
• Customer service orientation with the ability to effectively communicate across diverse stakeholder groups both internal and external.
• Strong analytical skills and proven experience translating data into actionable insights.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and execute according to timelines.
• Strong communication / presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex scenarios to various audiences
• Ability to attend and/or facilitate presentations/meetings.
