Senior Bookkeeper/Assistant Controller

Senior Bookkeeper/Assistant Controller:

This is an In-office 5 days a week position

Position Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute all accounting functions for the business. This includes General Ledger, Financial Statements, Month-end close, Balance Sheets, daily entries etc.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivables for the organization
• Handle all tax and audit that complies with local, state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings including corporate, income and sales related tax
• Resolve any issues with client receivables
• Able to communicate with outside CPA and financial institutions
• All banking including reconciliations and bank statements
• Manage all fixed assets including loan lease management
• Work with management and ownership across the organization to develop policies and procedures for successful cash flow and profitability
• Identify process improvements when necessary
• Oversee payroll management

• Ability to use confidential information in a professional manner
• Experience working in an accounting, finance environment
• Strong expertise in QuickBooks, including report building and class system
• Strong expertise in Excel
• Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight, demonstrating an ability to follow through with completion
• Ability to learn other software platforms
• Familiarity with ADP Run
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; or relevant work experience
• 5-10 years of progressive relevant accounting/bookkeeping/controller experience
• Ability to work for a small organization
• Works collaboratively and supports organizations priorities
