Senior Accountant/Bookkeeper (Full Time, On Site)

Senior Accountant/ Bookkeeper Needed for Women's fashion company in Pelham NY.

Professional experience required in the following main responsibilities:

• Bank reconciliations
• Recording daily financial transactions and maintenance of the general ledger
• Monthly analysis of balance sheets and P&L accounts
• Review processing and recording expenses for whole sale, retail and web operations
• Compiling reports and identifying discrepancies
• Expense variance analysis
• Producing financial reports to assist in talking strategic decisions
• A/P checks processing, filing, maintenance of vendor files
• A/R reordering of incoming funds, invoicing
• Payroll-processing, recording analysis
• Posting of journal entries and ad-hoc projects
• Clearing of intra-company accounts

Requirements:

• Must have excellent Excel skills (including Pivot Tables)
• Strong knowledge of the foundations of Accounting (i.e. journal entries, financial statement preparation).
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be able to multi task
• Knowledge of and interest in women's fashion a plus!
• Must be supportive to entire team

Preferences:

• CPA Certified
• Knowledge of A2000 Software

Required Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
