POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior AV Technician is responsible for a diverse portfolio of technology that serves the academic community and the school at large. The role includes:
(1) managing classroom operations for both in-person and online offerings,
(2) leading the design, development, and implementation of existing and emerging technology solutions as it relates to classroom and enterprise Audio Visual technologies
(3) managing client and customer experience as it relates to Audio Visual technologies
(4) supporting the successful delivery of key enterprise initiatives.
The Senior AV Technician will report to the Chief Information Officer but will also liaise directly with Faculty, Staff, Information Technology, and other departments and leadership as necessary depending on the nature of the initiative(s).
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install, configure, operate, disassemble, and troubleshoot enterprise Audio Visual equipment and perform routine maintenance, inventory, and tracking.
- Coordinate with stakeholders on placement, integration, and functionality, of lighting, audio reinforcement, sound mixing, recording, and conferencing.
- Support the seamless integration and distribution of media capture for in-person and online engagements.
- Resolve functional questions and technical issues related to classroom, academic, event, and Instructional Technology.
- Produce reports and liaise between various campus departments to ensure quality of service.
- Lead initiatives to identify and incorporate emerging technologies as part of a continuous improvement process for the Institution.
- Flexibility to support the Institution and its goals which may occasionally occur after-hours or during the weekend.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- BS/BA and relevant experience in the field of audio-visual integration, preferably in higher education.
- Strong technical acumen, excellent oral and written communications.
- Ability to act effectively as a member of a team, and to interact successfully across a wide range of colleagues.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be detail-oriented, able to multi-task, capable of working in a fast-pace environment.
