Pay Rate: $123,669 - $230,093
Senior Associate Geologist
Delve Underground is looking for a Professional Geologist with 15+ years' experience to join our team to help service underground infrastructure design and construction projects. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in geotechnical investigations, geotechnical instrumentation, rock mass characterization, coordinating with construction staff, working well in a team environment, and have superior communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Planning, design and construction oversight of underground and heavy civil engineering projects such as water and sewer tunnels and pipelines, road and transit tunnels and underground power projects.
- Work on a variety of office and field assignments, with a focus on managing geological analyses, development of drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical memoranda that present the basis of design.
- Provides technical leadership to regional staff in underground and tunnel engineering geology.
- Meets with key clients and potential clients to discuss current and future work.
- Plans, directs and coordinates the activities of underground projects to ensure that goals and/or objectives are accomplished.
- Directs and coordinates activities of engineers and geologists to ensure project progresses on schedule and on budget.
- Participates in client interviews and presentations
Qualifications:
- MS in Geology or geological engineering
- 15+ years of experience
- Professional Geologist registration in the state of CA preferred
- Experience on large heavy civil underground construction projects
- Physical ability to walk around construction site and deep shafts with unlevel ground, carry up to 30 lbs, and climb ladders
