Senior Associate, Financial Reporting
Job Description:
The Senior Accountant will ensure that the accounting records of the company are properly maintained in accordance with US GAAP; perform complex account analysis; and provide timely and accurate journal entries. The successful candidate will serve as a key member of the Accounting team and work in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a strong background in accounting principles and ability to work collaboratively to achieve established goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions and journal entries to ensure accuracy of our financial records.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis, including performing detailed account reconciliations and preparing flux analysis to provide insights into business performance, cost controls, and operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to enhance operational accounting processes and implement improvements to streamline workflows.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external accounting policies and procedures.
- Assist in automating manual process and implementation of new accounting system.
- Build and maintain strong internal working relationships to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and effectiveness in financial operations.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as assigned.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience, preferably in the construction industry
- Experience and understanding of accounting and finance principles, including working knowledge of US GAAP
- Familiarity with or proven knowledge of Oracle ERP accounting systems or equivalent
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
