We are looking to hire a Senior Assistant Accountantin City of Industry, CA This is a Contract to Hire opportunity to join our Accounting Team!

Schedule: Monday-Friday (7:30am- 3:30pm)

Summary: Flexible Manufacturing Company is looking for Senior Assistant Accountant with growth potential to assist and support the Controller and CFO with the preparation of most aspects of accounting including preparation of financial statements in compliance with the company guidelines and requirements and related tasks. The ideal candidate must possess strong experience in all aspects of accounting, and strong attention to detail and work in a fast-paced environment and should possess a passion for finding solutions to complex problems. The ideal candidate will be working directly with the Controller.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Handling bookkeeping and following accounting best practices
• Support most aspects of accounting management
• Maintaining general ledger
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements
• Assist with audits, forecasts, and other fiscal planning
• Coordinate financial audits with the VP and CFO.
• Participate in preparation of annual audit
• Reconciling account balances
• Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed
• Manage journal entries, etc. and reconcile accounts for the monthly or annual closing
• Assist with preparation of reports for management

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Self-motivated and self-directed
• Accurate and precise attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task
• Excellent time management skills; able to prioritize
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong aptitude for numbers, spreadsheets, and financial reports
• Able to use 10-key by touch.
• 5-7 years of proven accounting/bookkeeping experience
• Good computer skills. Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Dynamic GP
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience
• Understanding accounting laws and regulations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour
