The Legislative Service Center, also known as LEG TECH (pronounced 'LEDGE-TECK') is the dedicated technology solutions provider for the Washington State Legislature. We are a team of highly competent technology professionals committed to consistently meeting or exceeding customer and team expectations with innovative products and services. The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced and energetic Agile Portfolio Manager to join our organization. This role will ensure that customer needs are met through the development and alignment of various technology products within a portfolio. You will be working with a talented team of engineers, developers, and executives committed to delivering the highest customer value using agile processes. Minimum Qualifications
  • Three (3)+ years of progressively responsible agile technology portfolio management
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a related field (we will consider equivalent experience)
  • Strong ability to create and maintain relationships with customers and staff
  • Self-motivated, self-directed, and highly accountable
  • Ability to influence others without direct authority
  • Thoughtful and self-aware, adept at asking questions and listening to understand
  • A strong business acumen that includes fiscal insight, risk management, and critical thinking
  • Working knowledge build vs buy decision making
  • Growth mindset and a passion for learning and continuous improvement
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship
  • Must be a resident of Washington state or willing to relocate
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using agile techniques
  • Proven track record of managing agile technology portfolios
  • Public sector work experience is preferred but is not a requirement
  • Track record of building future-proof technology
  • Industry certifications (CSPO, PSPO, ICP-LPM, etc.)
  • Strong collaboration ability to secure team cohesion, react to change, and manage risk
