Location: On-site Lynnwood Home Office
Overview: The Zumiez Senior Accountant has the opportunity to gain experience and develop their skillset with a wide breadth of responsibilities including General Ledger close, cost center owner, supervise the insurance program, support compliance, SEC, and audit requests. Responsibilities include working with partners to drive effective process, reconciliations, journal entries, supervising, manage financial accuracy, as well as involvement with additional ad hoc projects.
Career Planning: This role is on the Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller career track. This role over time will build out the core competencies to evolve into the accounting management career track. Role will build out the skills sets to effectively complete the record to report process, identify system process, build efficiencies, and offer people management capabilities to train and develop future leaders in the department.

GL Accounting
* Supervise an Accounting Specialist
* Prepaids and Other Receivables
* Review Inventory Position Reporting
* Preparation and review over various Journal Entries
* Various Reporting and Analysis for Business
* Cost Center Reviewer
* General Liability Accrual
* Workers' Compensation
* Insurance renewal

General Ledger Accounting
* Cost center reviewer for various financial cost centers
* Preparation and review over various account reconciliations
* Work with Controller on parking lot projects for accounting optimization
* NA Cost Centers and CFO meeting
* Work with External auditors on Quarterly and annual SOX and financial PBC requests

* 3+ year equivalent experience.
