Form of work We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team and oversee critical accounting functions within the Economic Development Administration of the city. As the Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health and transparency of our city by meticulously managing and preparing financial records, reports, and statements. Your contributions will directly impact informed decision-making processes for city officials and stakeholders. Additionally, you may utilize your expertise in forecasting techniques to project future revenues, expenditures, and cash flows, providing valuable insights for strategic planning.
With a minimum of 7 to 10 years of accounting experience and a strong background in governmental accounting principles, the ideal candidate will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of accounting theory, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to lead and supervise subordinate employees. Requirements include:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in accounting and at least 7 to 10 years experience in accounting involving the analysis and recording of financial transactions, and the preparation of financial reports; and 3 to 5 years in a supervisory capacity.
