Timely gathering of approvals, entering and processing of all Accounts Payable invoices
- General ledger entry of financial information including journal entries for daily, weekly and monthly transactions
- Complete monthly bank account reconciliations and general ledger reconciliation
- Performs monthly detailed balance sheet reconciliations and analysis by providing explanations to monthly trends
- Records, monitors and proposes monthly accruals
- Performs variance analysis of budget to actuals and documents analytical explanations
- Timely close of all entity level financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Developing internal control guidelines, policies and procedures for budget accounting, cash and credit management, administration, accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury management, and other activities
- Maintaining budgets and forecasts
- Prepare monthly reports for team leaders in the company
- Contribute to annual audit requests
Assist with other projects and requests as needed
Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Proven work experience of two to five years in accounting, audit or other related fields
- Strong knowledge of payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Understanding of financial data analysis and reporting
- Ability to deliver quality work on tight deadlines, with strong organization and priority setting skills
- Accounting Principles: Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to ensure accuracy of financial statements and implement adequate internal controls to safeguard departmental assets
- Systems fluency: Learn and navigate through multiple systems including: QuickBooks, MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Intermediate Excel skills including X-Lookups, Pivot Tables, and Functions.
Data Security Practices: complying and adhering to data security practices (HIPAA) and other applicable compliance standards.
- Must have internet service with minimum upload/download ability.
