Senior Accounting Manager

Our client, a pre-IPO cloud-based software company used by code developers, is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to play a pivotal role in developing and scaling their accounting function. Responsibilities:Month-End Close Process: You'll review journal entries, account reconciliations, and report results to internal stakeholders.
GAAP Compliance: Implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure all financial transactions adhere to GAAP principles.
Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of 4 accountants.
Automation: Collaborate with Finance Systems and Engineering teams to identify and execute automation opportunities.
Financial Modeling: Work with FP&A to develop financial models and scenarios for strategic decision-making.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Understand business operations and provide financial guidance by collaborating with other departments.
Process Improvement: Continuously enhance month-end close and financial reporting procedures to streamline processes.
Qualifications:Experience: At least 7 years of accounting experience, including 3 years at a Big 4 accounting firm and 2 years in industry.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
Certification: CPA designation and strong knowledge of US GAAP.
Skills: Ability to communicate technical accounting concepts effectively and experience with NetSuite is a plus.

The company is located in San Francisco. This can also be a remote position in the Pacific and Mountain time zone. COMPENSATION:
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure: $165K - $205K Equity. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
