The Senior Accountant will lead and manage the monthly reconciliation of the General Ledger, ensuring accuracy and resolving any discrepancies, as well as assist in payroll and month-end reports.

Our salary range for this position is $70k to $90k per annum (range varies depending on experience and qualifications).
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare month-end journal entries to reflect the financial transactions that occurred during the month.
- Oversee and update the maintenance of various account schedules, including fixed assets, depreciation, prepayments, leases, accruals, and others.
- Manage the company’s payroll tax accounts, ensuring compliance with state regulations and overseeing the filing of relevant returns.
- Assist in the implementation and utilization of projects via Unanet to track and streamline financial procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of customer billing documents, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in the customer billing process.
- Aid in accounts reconciliation and maintain accurate cash balances.
- Support the preparation of payroll, ensuring accurate data entries, and addressing any corrections needed in timesheets.
- Work closely with the Accounting Manager to lead and coordinate month-end activities and transactions, ensuring financial statements are prepared accurately and on time.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent.
- Must have experience with the Unanet ERP system.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience working on federal projects; OR Minimum of five (5) years of combined experience and education.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of both Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Must have the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Possesses good communication skills, both oral and written.
