You would be a key member of our Finance and Accounting team. You will oversee a range of functions across the team, including accounting and reporting for debt, ensuring state and federal tax compliance (in conjunction with our outside tax firm), coordinating and managing distributions to employees and members, assisting in the budgeting process, analyzing financial information, preparing accurate and timely financial reports and statements, and ensuring appropriate accounting control procedures.
Your Responsibilities
- Managing monthly debt schedules and preparation of journal entries.
- Compiling required debt compliance documents to share with lenders on a quarterly basis.
- Monitoring lease schedules for updates and preparing lease accounting entries on a monthly basis.
- Managing tax engagements, including data requests, to ensure timely completion.
- Assisting with federal and state compliance matters and other corporate reporting requirements.
- Maintaining the distribution tracking system and assisting in the preparation and execution of distributions as needed.
- Maintaining and assisting with the equity management platform.
- Supporting the annual budgeting process and ongoing tracking of variances relative to the budget.
- Collaborating with the Controller in preparing financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close.
- Facilitating and completing monthly close procedures, such as intercompany entries, capitalized labor entries, accruals, and other entries as needed.
- Preparing monthly expense account reconciliations.
- Analyzing and reconciling financial statements and reporting on variances on a monthly basis.
- Assisting with quarterly commission reports and analyzing and correcting discrepancies.
- Assisting with the implementation of the 2024 ERP to Microsoft Dynamics, Business Central.
Required Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
- Five or more years of Accounting/Finance experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office with proficiency in Excel
- Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
- Ability to collaborate within a team and across departments, achieve results in a timely manner, and communicate potential problems or issues in advance
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; MBA, CPA, or CPA candidacy preferred
- Experience in the banking/finance industry preferred
- Experience with ERP systems preferred (Currently MAS 500; upgrading to Microsoft Dynamics, Business Central in 2024)
- Experience with equity management platforms preferred (Carta)
