What the Senior Accountant will do:
- Assist with monthly debt close, including updating schedules.
- Prepare quarterly debt compliance packages for lenders.
- Manage tax filings for all 50 states, including interaction with taxation departments.
- Maintain distributions in Carta, providing training and performing administrative tasks as needed.
- Support audit processes, including assisting with PBCs (Provided by Client) for ongoing audits.
- Maintain monthly debt schedules and prepare journal entries.
- Compile necessary debt compliance documents for quarterly lender reporting.
- Monitor and update lease schedules, preparing lease accounting entries monthly.
- Coordinate tax engagements and fulfill data requests for timely completion.
- Handle debt filings.
- Prepare monthly packages for FINRA and other entities as required.
What the company needs in a Senior Accountant :
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Five or more years of Accounting/Finance experience (public accounting or corporate accounting)
- Preferred Industry experience: Experience in the financial services, debt services, financial technology, banking/finance industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- MBA, CPA, or CPA candidacy preferred
- Experience with MAS 500, and/or Microsoft Dynamics-Business Central preferred
- Experience with equity management platforms, especially Carta preferred
