Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant is a significant role that is responsible for supporting diverse accounting responsibilities. This position requires professional knowledge of a wide range of accounting disciplines such as general accounting, financial reporting, auditing, taxation, and budget preparations. The individual must meticulously manage financial reports, records, and general ledgers; prepare and analyze budgets; and perform general bookkeeping.
Duties:
1. Preparing monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports.
2. Analyzing and reviewing budgets and expenditures for local, state, federal and private funding.
3. Managing the accurate and timely processing of daily transactions.
4. Overseeing and supporting auditing activities by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations.
5. Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and guidelines including GAAP principles.
6. Preparing income tax returns and corporate reporting requirements.
7. Facilitating and completing monthly close procedures.
8. Assisting in developing and implementing effective accounting strategies, policies and procedures.
9. Providing guidance and training to junior accounting staff.
10. Conducting regular ledger, reconciliations, and account analysis.
11. Collaborating with management to improve financial procedures.
Other Requirements:
- 1-2 Years Accounting Experience Minimum
- CPA Preferred but not Required
