- Manage strategic budget and forecast plan on a quarterly basis; work with leadership team to develop sales, cost of goods sold, and departmental expense plans.
- Develop, distribute and evaluate financial reporting key performance indicators for $130 million per year operations, for three regional service centers.
- Participate in monthly closing process. Perform financial variance analysis, reconciliations, and research accounting issues related to sales/margin, bookings/backlog, service absorption/utilization, and departmental cost. Create and post miscellaneous journal entries as needed.
- Review and maintain fixed assets list and track capital expenditure projects.
- Provide analysis, problem solve and develop process improvement recommendations as needed. Ability to teach/train business partners on new process improvements, financial acumen, and the flow of information in the quote to cash process.
- Manage A/R, customer master data, and interact with local team and customers for payment resolutions.
- Manage, streamline and ensure processes and internal controls are adhered to per corporate policies.
- Effective communication and presentation skills. Facilitate meetings with local team regarding financial objectives.
- 4-year accounting or finance degree with minimum 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Knowledge of business management practices, GAAP, and job cost accounting,
- Computer software: MS Office with advanced Excel skills, SAP experience a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence others.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to set priorities and multi-task.
- Ability to research, analyze and problem solve.
- Mining industry and/or manufacturing/service background a plus.
- CMA, CPA, MBA, or working towards advanced certification preferred.
