Senior Accountant

Aegis Living is changing the paradigm of Assisted Living and Memory Care. 

As Senior Accountant you will work with our Corporate Accounting and Finance Team to support our assisted living communities with excellence and superior customer service. This role will work with a team of accounting professionals and assist our Senior Accountants with accounting for various areas of the balance sheet, along with month-end analysis and reconciliations. What you will do to support our vision and mission:

• Assist in accounting support for multiple decentralized properties
• Work with our General Ledger accounts and reconciliations
• Monthly financial analysis and preparation of financial reports
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Budget and trend analysis
• Fixed asset accounting
• State & local tax assessment calculations
• Strong customer service orientation when working with internal and external customers
• Other duties as assigned

What you will bring and contribute to the team:

• 1 - 3+ years of accounting experience
• Manage A/P team
• A four-year accounting degree
• Experience in general ledger accounting and reconciliations
• Proficient at MS Excel
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and have a willingness to learn
• Detail orientation and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Multi-site or multi-book accounting experience
• State and local sales, B&O tax experience or knowledge
• Property Management or Hospitality accounting experience
• CPA designation
