About the Role:
The Senior Accountant will work directly with our Accounting and Finance team members to support the monthly financial close process and compliance. Financial close responsibilities include recording, processing and reviewing daily transactions for accounts receivables, accounts payables, and other miscellaneous activity as well as assisting with monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting requirements. Compliance responsibilities include working with third party providers to maintain tax and registration compliance.
This is a Full-Time, Remote position.
Senior Accountant Responsibilities:
- Manage recurring invoices and subscriptions including follow up procedures
- Process and review vendor payables and customer receivable transactions
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of all revenue transactions and journal entries supporting ASC 606 revenue recognition requirements
- Assist with month-end close procedures, including recording journal entries, preparation and review of account reconciliations and preparation of financial statement variance analysis
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual comparative financial statements, and assistance with preparation of board related materials
- Participate in meetings with department heads to monitor and report out performance to plan, including detailed fluctuation analysis. Investigate follow up questions
- Support various external audit examinations and maintain appropriate supporting documentation
- Assist in producing ad-hoc reporting and tracking on various Company initiatives as requested by executive leadership
- Opportunity to create and/or improve upon processes to scale for growth
- Assist in preparing and filing monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and income tax returns
- Respond to and resolve tax notices with compliance providers
Preferred Senior Accountant skills:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting plus 2 years of experience
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Positive, self-motivated, and self-driven individual
- Determined, eager to take initiative
- NetSuite, Bills.com, Stripe and ADP experience preferred.
Compensation Range: $80- $90K Depending on level of experience
