Description:SUMMARY
The Senior Accountant analyzes financial information and prepares financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability or other financial activities within an organization. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Accounting field. Relies on experience and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. This is a hybrid role consisting of in-office and remote work.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES*
- Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Prepare monthly journal entries to proper accounts.
- Prepares bi-weekly payroll processing.
- Develop non-recurring journal entries.
- Perform General Ledger review.
- Preparation of invoices on a monthly basis.
- Oversee accounts receivable processing and collections .
- Review and approve all bills in the accounts payable process.
- Facilitate the organization and administration of the trust disbursements process.
- Review and approve all bank reconciliations.
- Report to the accounting manager and controller regarding the finances of the entities.
- Assist with SSAE 16 compliance requirements and quarterly testing.
- Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend, develop, or maintain solutions to business and financial problems.
- Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice to the team.
- Assists with Tax compliance and quarterly payments.
- Prepare reports/documentation in response to internal and external requests.
- Work with management in the implementation, documentation, and testing of internal controls.
- Support Accounting Manager and Controller in assigned accounting/finance project-based work as needed.
Requirements:
- Complex Accounting skills. This is normally acquired through 5 -7 years of accounting experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Sage Intacct is a plus.
- Mathematics to solve problems.
- Critical Thinking – Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
