- Salary Range: $60,000-75,000
- Note: Candidates must have a valid Property and Casualty Insurance License in the State of Iowa
Senior Account Manager - Personal Lines Insurance
This position is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with Personal Lines clients in conjunction with the producing risk advisor. Personal lines accounts often include coverages such as homeowners, auto, personal umbrella, boat, and recreational vehicle insurance. Some service staff may also be involved in servicing farm, health, and other coverages, depending on the individual office/agency’s needs. Senior Account Managers work independently to advise and service complex accounts. This position will also collaborate with the department supervisor in overseeing an aspect of the Personal Lines department.
What you’ll do as the Senior Account Manager - Personal Lines Insurance:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through advising and responding to all correspondence in a quick and accurate manner
- Answer questions regarding all lines of coverage, and assist with plan and/or carrier changes, claims, requotes, and billing
- Collaborate with risk advisor to determine and meet client goals
- Study trends and advancements in the insurance and finance industries, as well as changes to the regulatory climate to keep knowledge current and plan strategically
- Develop and maintain positive and effective relationships with partner insurance carriers
- Enter activity and other relevant information into the company’s software system(s) in accordance with company procedures
- Follow all federal and state regulations, and best practices for avoiding errors and omissions.
- Mentor new employees by guiding them on service methods and mission.
- Attend and actively participate in agency service training meetings
- Continue professional development; pursue and maintain professional designations if applicable
- Travel as necessary for company or training events
What you’ll bring to the Senior Account Manager - Personal Lines Insurance role:
- High school degree or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2+ years of management or leadership experience
- 5+ years of Personal Lines account management experience
- Extensive years of insurance experience
- Ability to maintain property and casualty insurance license
